I’m really excited to put up a few shots from a photo shoot with Belladonna Johnson. We had a wonderful time exploring downtown Moscow, ID. She is one of my dearest friends and I miss her something awful! For our adventure, I picked one of my easiest and most favorite fall/spring transition outfits. Who doesn’t love a good crop sweater?
My beautiful photographer friend ventured out with me to an old abandoned barn off the highway. We were definitely not disappointed. The best part of this shoot was that I had the opportunity to test out my new red NARS lipstick. AND IT STAYED. IT ACTUALLY HELD ITS COLOR.
I am really excited to share that I have moved to a new state. I am now officially a Washingtonian. Cheers to my talented roommate and photographer– she has been so supportive of my need for creativity.
I threw a few of my favorite pieces together for this spring look. I adore thicker shells for crop tops and I am in love with high waisted bottoms. These scalloped shorts were to die for and incredibly affordable at TJ Maxx. Also, did you notice my new shades? $5 at Ross! Right!?
Lastly, I’m pleased to announce that I was nominated for the “Versatile Blogger Award” by Tina J.S.! Check out her beautiful blog when you get a chance! In lieu of accepting this award, I have to state 7 facts about myself and then nominate other bloggers in return. Here goes…
1. I’m a bit of a neat freak.
2. I have two brothers.
3. I am picky about vanilla scented candles.
4. I have a weakness for white mochas and Ray Ban Wayfarers.
5. I am a connoisseur of nachos (real cheese please!).
6. I have a collection of Ugly Dolls. Literally, they’re called Ugly Dolls.
7. I am a former NY fashion intern… back on the west coast working in fashion and loving it.
(Flower Crown: homemade, Lace Top: Forever21, Fringe Cover-Up: TJ Maxx, Green Maxi Skirt: Target, Silver Tassel Necklace: Target, White Gold Diamond Ring: a special gift, Lipstick: “Fairest Nude” by Loreal)
I decided to make flower crowns with my best friend today. It’s my birthday. 🙂
I was really quite pleased with the end result. Also, who WOULDN’T want to spend the afternoon making flower crowns for $4!? Flower crowns help channel our creative energy (along with coffee). We stocked up on flowers at the dollar store and then used wire and green decor tape to adjust the crown.
(Fringe Sweater: TJ Maxx, Grey Sweater: Old Navy, Jeans: White House Black Market, Necklace: Forever21, Silver ring: TJ Maxx, Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs from Rue La La, Heels: White House Black Market)
Have you heard of Rue La La? If you haven’t… now you have. Rue is amazing for several reasons. First, Rue has special flash sales that offer great items from amazing designers at wonderful prices. Second, Rue has this amazing deal called the Rue 30. Rue 30 means that you pay for shipping (9.95) once and then you don’t pay for shipping again on any orders within thirty days. Yes, thirty days.
See my fancy new Marc by Marc Jacobs watch?! That’s all thanks to Rue. The style is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Women’s Baker Watch. You can see the gold version available at Lord + Taylor too!
Lastly, I want to send a thank you shout out to my photographer, Amanda, for braving the Oregon weather before work. We caught some dry time during a cloudy day just in time to get my weekly post in.
Remember that time when photographer Athena Delene took blog photos for me?
I am so excited to share another fashion photo with you! Athena has a great eye for detail. She makes me feel light on my feet, even when I feel a little skittish posing for photos. If you are curious to know more about her, visit her portfolio.
As for the fashion part? It’s finally time to let my kimono see the light of day, and I still can’t get enough of these heels.
(Sequin Top: H&M, Black Pencil Skirt: Old Navy, Black Heels: Call it Spring for JCPenny, Hair Bow: Forever21, Gold Bracelet: NYC Picadilly, Gold Pearl Ring: Charlotte Russe)
I think I’ve been searching for every excuse to dress up. I love pale pinks and soft tones.
The best part about this top is that it has a short sleeve. I don’t have to cover it with a jacket or sweater– it’s sufficient on its own. I also found this to be the perfect outfit to pair with my hair bow. FINALLY.
I’m a little obsessed with these jogger pants. Think stylish comfort. Think Elie Tahari for Kohl’s. I added edgy heels and a flowy tank to balance the sporty look. I’m all about the feminine details– like the ruffle on the front of my tank.
I am a firm believer in jogger pants and this is only my first pair…
